Art Gallery proudly announces the new John F. Gould full color ceramic tile
series celebrating the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor. These subjects
are the new Purple Heart Edition of the American Revolution Trilogy: The pictures,
on ceramic tile, form a sequence of events leading to the American Revolution of
1776 first Order of Merit at Newburgh in 1783 - The Purple Heart Military Award,
as it is known today.
On
November 10, 2006 the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is scheduled to open
at the New Windsor Cantonment in Vails Gate, NY.
There
is national and international significance to this event as recipients of the
Purple Heart Award are spread around the world. There are 1.7 million Purple
Heart medal holders who distinguished themselves in wars from the American
Revolution of 1776 to the combat in Afghanistan and Iraq.
A
distinctive Purple Heart logo is displayed on each one of three images. The
6"x6" tiles are gift-boxed with documentation. Prints of the Purple
Heart Edition, framed and unframed, are also available. Part of the proceeds.
