Enjoy painting and drawing with artist Paul Gould. You'll benefit from his many years as a professional artist and teacher. Since 1970, Paul has enthusiastically shared his knowledge of creating art with numerous students at the Bethlehem Art Gallery and more recently at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. Beginners are always welcome.

Whether a novice or a more advanced student, Paul will patiently guide you based on your specific interests and goals. You'll learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting, while working in the media of your choice. Express yourself in pencil,, pastel, oil, acrylic or watercolor. Paul will give you the individual attention you need to develop your artistic talent to its fullest potential.

Learn how to get the best results whether you work from still life set-ups indoors/ reference material or paint outdoors - plein air, in the local area or by joining one of Paul's travel Workshops to Europe Or in the United States.

Choose the subject matter that interests you the most - landscapes, seascapes, still life, portrait, etc. You'll receive individual guidance on how to successfully create the paintings you want.

Progress at your own pace as your instructor shares helpful tips on drawing, composition, color mixing and painting techniques. Paul will be happy to demonstrate drawing and painting techniques for the class as needed.

If you need help in choosing a media, or in selecting materials, please ask for assistance. A list of suggested materials and where they can be purchased is available.
